Percussionist Brian Osborne is an active performer of new music, and has been organizing and participating in DIY music events throughout the US and in Europe for over 15 years. Brian's current projects include George Steeltoe Ensemble, Blastocyst, Paper Leg(s), and DOSDEDOS. Collaborating frequently in a variety settings, Brian has played with Andrew Barker, Matthew Burtner, Daniel Carter, Ed Chang, Peter Evans, Bruce Eisenbeil, Frode Gjerstad, Christoph Irmer, KatsuYuki Itakura, Michael Thomas Jackson, Oliver Lake, Sabir Mateen, Joe McPhee, Seth Misterka, Elisa Osborne, Jeffrey Shurdut, Blaise Siwula, Charles Waters, Ge-Suk Yeo, as well as with members of Hair Police, Sightings, Mouthus, and Sharks with Wings. Brian has a Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance from the North Carolina School of the Arts; and has studied and performed Javanese Gamelan Music. Currently living in Brooklyn NY, Brian continues his studies under Master Percussionist, Milford Graves.
